Corteva Agriscience Technology Use Agreement

Before buying HarvXtra® Alfalfa with Roundup Ready® Technology (HvXRR), the breeder and seed trader must sign a contract to use seeds and feed. After signing, the agreement must be sent to canadasalessupport@pioneer.com. In addition, IRRI, as an international non-profit organization, promotes responsible technology transfer in accordance with its IP-Commercialisation policy and CGIAR`s principles for intellectual property management (“AI principles”). This research licensing agreement is a restricted Use Agreement (RUA) that involves the acquisition and use of third-party intellectual assets that may restrict global access to products and services resulting from their use. The IRRI, as a CGIAR centre, is authorized to adopt these RUAs in accordance with certain provisions contained in the AI Principles Reference Document. Seeds that contain the Enlist, Herculex and PowerCore properties are protected by numerous U.S. patents. Seeds containing patented properties can only be used for planting a single commercial crop and cannot be conserved or replanted. They recognize and agree to be bound by the conditions of the following documents in force at the time of planting of these seeds: (i) the agreement on the use of the technology and (ii) the product use guides for all technologies of these seeds, including the management of herbicide resistance (HRM), and the use requirements (www.corteva.us/Resources/trait-stewardship.html) mentioned in them. To plant Enlist, Herculex and PowerCore seeds, you must have a limited license from Corteva Agriscience (or other appropriate associated companies).

In light of the above, Corteva Agriscience grants the producer a limited licence to use its technology for the production of a single commercial crop in the United States, under the terms of the technology use agreement in place at the time of planting of these seeds. Read and follow the herbicide label instructions: Enlist® products contain the Enlist feature, which provides plant safety for the use of over-the-top marked applications of glyphosate, glufosinate and 2.4D herbicides with Colex-D® technology when used in accordance with label instructions. After burndown, the only 2,4-D herbicide products that can be used with Enlist® crop products using Colex-D technology and are specifically reported for use on Enlist crops. 2,4-D products that do not contain Colex-D technology are not allowed to be used in combination with Enlist products. “For several decades, scientific advances have improved agricultural productivity, but the challenges of pollination have not been addressed. Based on on-site testing, we believe PowerPollen technology will continue to enable us to produce high quality seeds for our farmers and improve the productivity, profitability and sustainability of modern farming practices,” said Neal Gutterson, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Corteva Agriscience.
